Being a Cup

Yesterday, Emma had this conversation with herself in the car...

"When I grow up, I want to be a daddy. No, I want to be a cup. No, I don't want to be a cup because I don't want a lid on my head."

I'm glad she is thinking about her future.

Puppet Theater

Emma is playing with puppets tonight. She is making the pig eat slop and the others are growling.

Disappointment

This is the face of a disappointed child. Emma's meal came with Oreos. We would not let her eat them until she ate her meal. This photo shows Emma eating with the only goal of getting her Oreos.

Breakfast with Big Papa

Today we had breakfast with Big Papa. Emma did not want to walk through Target holding anyone's hand except for Big Papa.

First Ice Cream Cone

Today Emma was given her first real ice cream cone (That we know of. It is very possible that a grandma may have given one). Emma has had ice cream several times, but never an ice cream cone. She was very excited. When we gave it to her, she put the bottom in her mouth and took a huge bite. Needless to say we never expected her to take a bite out of the wrong end of an ice cream cone. I guess that is part of the joy with children, they always surprise you.

Emma and her friend

This semester, Kelley is doing her counseling internship. Three days a week, Emma is with her friend Rachel. Emma loves it and looks forward to playing with her on those days. This is a photo of the two playing Star Wars with each other (it must be the princess version of Star Wars).
