Teacher's Lounge

For my birthday, some teachers brought in treats for the staff.  The theme was Cubs and being at the ballpark.  The best part about this elaborate setup is the cooler in the back.  If you lift this lid, there is a picture of the top of some cans and the words, "Yeah, you wish."

Another early birthday highlight was a shirt from Baumgartner's that says, "Pull My Finger."  If you don't know, Baumgartner's is this famous cheese store and tavern in Monroe, WI.  Cheese Day's are held in Monroe with Baumgartner's being the highlight.

Emma's Birthday and Other Schinanigans

Emma just had her third birthday party at the park at Richmond Hill in Geneseo. She had a blast with her cousins and really enjoyed all of her birthday gifts. We are still trying to eat the leftover party sub. If you need a sandwich, come on over to our house.

For Mother's Day, we went to Lavender Crest with Emily, Dave, Sue, Dave, and kids. Emma again enjoyed running around with Hannah.

Emma's actual birthday fell on a Monday. The Sunday before, we took Emma to her first Cubs game. She was very excited about going. Although Zambrano got injured, the Cubs still won. My dad asked her if she liked the Cubs game. Emma said, "Yeah, we watched the Cubs and then all sang a song." Funny how a three year old can interpret things.

On another note, while at Emma's birthday party, we were finally able to announce that Kelley is pregnant. She is due on November 19th. Emma is still figuring out that Mommy is having a baby. Emma says she hopes it is a girl and that she plans to call her Rocky. We'll keep everyone posted on the pregnancy.

Happy Birthday Kelley (Ryan too)

Christmas day was Kelley's thirtieth birthday. It was also her twin brother Ryan's birthday as well (funny how that works out). Since celebrating properly on Christmas day is difficult with this little known holiday called Christmas happening at the same time, we are going to go out Tuesday night. I'm going to take Kelley to the Bass Street Chop House. We are then going to either go to the new piano bar in Davenport or to a movie. Help us out here. If the piano bar is not open, what movie should we see? If there is nothing worth seeing right now, let us know that as well. We don't get out that much, so give us your ideas of what to do. Our two year-old has made us socially awkward. Please post your suggestions.
