Wounded Warriors

My middle school just complete a one community/one book program for the third year.  We call the program On the Same Page.  Students spend a lot of time reading and selecting a book.  Once we have the book selected, we find grants and funds to buy books for any community member who would like the book.  We also have a culminating night with a presentation.  This year we brought in members from the Wounded Warriors.  It was a very cool event.

Emma Won't Sing Around Boys

Emma is singing in the bath tub. 

Emma: I won't sing around boys. 

Me: Oh yeah?  Why not?

Emma: They'll hear my beautiful voice and fall in love with me, because that is what boys do. 

Comic Con

Emma and I got out tickets in the mail for Comic Con. Emma's ticket has Voltron on it. I got to teach her about Voltron...pretty awesome father experience.

Evelyn Smash!

Missing Tooth

Emma just lost her first tooth while brushing her teeth. It blew Evelyn's mind.

Nathan's Birthday

Today we are in Omaha to celebrate our nephew Nathan's birthday. Part of his theme was trains so Evelyn dressed up as a conductor and rode her Uncle Ryan around the party.
