First Day of School

Emma entered 4th grade today and Evelyn entered kindergarten.  It is nearly impossible to believe it.  After the unpack your backpack night, the girls were excited.  Although difficult to see them grow up, it is good to know they love school.

Emma had a get to know you assignment from her teacher.  One question was to state what Emma is looking forward to the most this year.  Emma's answer was, " To have my sister in the same school as me."

Unpack your backpack

Yesterday was unpack your backpack night for Emma and Evelyn. Both teachers were very nice and inviting. The girls are now really excited to start school.

First Golf Tournament

Emma did her first golf tournament today. She did a great job and had a lot of fun.

Racing!

Emma took 3rd place in the 0-14 division of a local 5k. It was a tougher course and hot but she did it in 35 minutes. Evelyn did a great job in the kid race.

Deep Ellum

We spent part of a day in Deep Ellum. Seems like a smaller, yet just as eccentric, Portland. Very cool. We had the best BBQ ever at Pecan Lodge. It was an unbelievable lunch. Emma wasn't hungry but ate every piece on her plate (and left over on Evelyn's).

Bull Riders

We spent the day at the Fort Worth Stock Yard. Before watching a rode (that the girls got to participate in), they had the chance to sit on a real bull.
