Last night my dad and I finished the upstairs bathroom project. We will take a day or two off then probably start the downstairs bathroom (significantly larger).
The only thing left to do for the upstairs bathroom is paint the new trim (not pictured) and install a door stop (piece of cake).

Bathroom Project
My dad and I were working through this weekend on the first of the bathroom projects. Our bathroom and the girls' bathroom had carpet on the floor. We decided to replace the carpet with tile. My dad and I started on the girls' bathroom first.
I couldn't have gotten this done without the help of my dad. I've never done ceramic tile before and learned a lot.
Carpet is ripped out. I'm screwing down the cement board.
Tile is now cut and set on the cement board.
Tile is on the floor and we are waiting for the grout to dry.
Grout is dry and clean. Going to put in trim, toilet and sink tomorrow.

Merry Christmas
Our Christmas morning has just begun. Emma has been awake and Evy is still sleeping. To pass the time, Emma used our camera to video the start of our morning. Merry Christmas!

Hard to believe that Evelyn is about to turn out. Looking forward to seeing the family at her birthday party.

She's catching on
Kelley and I practice what most parents do when they want to talk without the kids understanding...by spelling out key words of a sentence. This drives Emma nuts because she can't follow our conversation. That has just changed this morning. As Kelley and I were planning our afternoon, I said we could stop somewhere and let Emma look at things she would like for her X.M.A.S. L.I.S.T. Emma then looked at me after I spelled those words and I expected her to ask what we were talking about. I said to Emma, "You probably want to know what I just said." Emma then said, "You said Christmas List."
I lose.
I lose.
